The plastic reef creatures sit within a 'warm current' wave of nearly 1,000 white map-pin head spawn. Three football jellyfish hang in front. Packing foam fan coral grows from the corner.
This wall was created to highlight the plight of our sea, its creatures and reef as we pollute it with plastic at an alarming rate, creating monstosities such as the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
The wall is currently at the Chicago Cultural Centre's Hyperbolic Reef exhibition open until 16th Dec 2007. It will then, in a differnet form, go on to the Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibition space for three months, from Jan.
